After helping the Guardians and losing their mentor, Yondu, we see Kraglin (Sean Gunn) in the Guardian's new ship practicing with Yondu's flap and arrow. He is not very good using the weapon but at least he manages to move the arrow ... directly to the chest of Drax.
Do not worry, Drax will be fine, but obviously this means that, like Mantis, it is possible that Kraglin joins the team in the future. Will Kraglin be part of the Guardians in the movie Avengers: Infinity War? Maybe, but most likely joining the team in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Several characters gather for Yondu's funeral, including three of the film's most important cameos. There we see Stakar (better known as Starhawk in comics), who is played by the great Sylvester Stallone, alongside Ving Rhames as Charlie-27, Michelle Yeoh as Aleta Ogord, Krugar and Mainframe (whose voice is put by Miley Cyrus as well You can not believe it). This is basically a reunion of Marvel's original Galactic Guardians, those who appeared in comics during the 1960s and 1970s, and it is quite likely that they will play a major role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.
"We will not see them again until at least Guardians 3," said Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, to our io9 comrades. "One of James' ideas was to fire Yondu all over the place with the original guardians of the Comics. This also gives James a new batch of tools to use in the upcoming films.
#3 A great release date: May 4, 2017
Since the announcement of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, fans have wondered when it would be the day when we would see in the cinema another of the best-known characters in the Marvel galaxy. We still do not know if Nova will ever reach this universe of movies, but Guardians 2 confirmed that we will see Adam Warlock. The post-credit scene shows the leader of the Sovereigns, Ayesha, still very angry because she was defeated by the Guardians, watching a giant cocoon while saying that her greatest creation is inside. Ayesha calls it "Adam", so it clearly refers to Adam Warlock, whose origin in comics is related to the past of Ayesha: both were artificial beings created artificially.
"We will not see the consequences of this until Guardians 3," Feige told io9. "Adam is not part of the history of Infinity War, although we know that was part of these events in the comics. Our version of Infinity War will be the closing of all the stories we have told so far. James had plans to introduce Adam in Vol. 2, or even in the first film. They were good ideas but because of the way it was being molded [the Marvel film universe] there was no time for that. That's why he just gave us a wink to develop his story in the future.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 unfolds just a few months after the events of the first film, which means that Groot is still very small. However, in one of the post-credit scenes we see that more time has passed and Groot became an annoying teenager, with Star-Lord speaking to him as if he were his father. This means that we can expect Groot to be at least this size in Infinity War, or maybe it has already reached its original size.
The last scene is the continuation of another moment that we saw during the film. Stan Lee is talking to several bigheaded characters that comic book fans know very well: they are part of a very powerful alien race known as the Rangers.
Lee mentions his cameo as a FedEx dealer on Captain America: Civil War, suggesting that every time we see Lee in all his appearances and cameos in the Marvel universe has been the same person. Maybe he's a Watcher. This has been a theory that fanatics have believed for many years, and James Gunn seems to have made it come true in his film.
